A celebration marking the 30 year anniversary of the Timpany Center in Santa Clara will be held on Thursday, October 29 from 4 – 6 p.m.
Operated by SJSU’s Department of Kinesiology in cooperation with the County of Santa Clara, the facility is an accessible physical activity and recreation center. Originally dedicated in September of 1979 in the memory of Dr. C. Russell Timpany, County Superintendent of Schools, the center was designed to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities. Today, Timpany Center boasts a 100,000 gallon warm-water pool, spa, gymnasium, weight room, classroom, and research lab.
