Fall Welcome Days, a series of social and academic programs designed to welcome students to campus, kicked off with Welcome Convocation on Thursday, August 20. President Jon Whitmore and AS President Megan Baker addressed a crowd of over 1,000 incoming Spartans and their families. Events continued this week with the Student Success FairĀ  and the Alumni Association’s Ice Cream Social, which drew over 700 students, staff and faculty.

Fall Welcome Days will continue through the first three weeks of school with programs hosted by various departments on campus. This year there will be over 40 events including the Student Organization Fair, On Campus Job Fair, Moonlight Movie, a pirate-themed adventure race, and many other discussion based programs designed to help students succeed in college. A student board of four volunteers oversees the entire Fall Welcome Days program: LaShae Ingram, Convocation Chair; Garima Agarwal, Programming Chair; Sabrina Hengehold, Marketing and Communications Chair; Claudia Oropeza, Campus and Community Relations Chair.
